EKATA is a London based DJ/Producer & Natural Selection Resident. Inspired by sci-fi films and the ability to tell a story, her productions are characterised by their dark, haunting and atmospheric soundscapes, driven by pulsating rhythms and intricate synth work.

EKATA is self-described as genre and sound obsessive and has built a reputation as a huge advocate for Electro and it’s roots. Her performative sound best personifies ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections.

In 2022, she was selected as one of the new faces of TRESOR in Berlin, which saw her play an Electro set in the prestigious cage. She has also played at the likes of ://About Blank, Meraki, Fold, HÖR and she has a well received release on highly esteemed Avoidant, the Electro sub label of Soma records under her belt as well as Burial Soil, Furatena, Science Cult & Urban Connections.

Her latest release on Furatena was selected by Beatport as one of the top Techno/Electro release in May this year.
