Lars Hemmerling was born in 1977 in central Berlin. Together with his twin brother Gunnar explored his love for electronic music at an early age. Influenced by the sound of different 80s electronic music bands and producers like e.g. Kraftwerk, he and his brother developed their interests for electronic music and especially for the toys to do it.

​​After some years of playing gigs in the Berlin club scene and working for the label Resopal-Schallware both of them decided to have a break and giving some space for musical development. Passionated into sound engineering and synthesis Lars and his brother set up his own studio to have sessions with different musicians and to have a place for creating inspiring synergies. In 2009 they founded the label Dock-Schallplatten together with the friend and soul mate Lars Fenin, who is almost well known in respect of the releases he made at the Berlin label Shitkatapult.

In 2010 Lars met Dasha Rush. She encouraged Lars to perform single live performances at Dasha’s event series “all you need is ears”. After one year both decided to establish the common project LADA and the first live performances were hold in Germany and Russia. In 2012 the first release of LADA appeared on Fullpanda Records FP18, which is named “Lostbahnhof”, which was supported by well known record stores like Hardwax and Boomcat.

Beside his engagements in Dock-Records Lars got a member of the Fullpanda artist family. In late summer 2016 Lars’s had his first single EP on Dasha Rush’s label Fullpanda Records. In 2018 he released his second EP on Fullpanda „Bloody&Soul“. Followed by some V.A.-Compilation on Kynant-Records and pitch-Control. Lars is currently preparing some single live gigs and some gigs with the project LADA (Dasha Rush & Lars Hemmerling) also working on a new E.P. of LADA which would probably be released on Kynant-Records.
